Men’s Audio Engineer Hoodie

Nic Pope explains his studio and stage ready hoodie:

I designed the Audio Engineer's Hoodie as a throwback to the era when engineers wore skinny black ties and starched white button-downs to the studio.

As a young man trying (read: struggling) to look his best I've always found it tough to balance functionality and comfort for long hours in the studio with good fashion so I usually end up with work clothes that just don't look as good. But what do you do when you want to meet up with your BAE after your session?

The Audio Engineer's Hoodie is built to get you through your show/session/festi-whatever in style and comfort. It’s not too bulky and it’s breathable enough to work in. It’s black with matte black hardware because I hate it when I’m onstage and people pay attention to me. When people look at you in it I want them to think, “Is that black or slightly darker black?”

Here’s a list of its features:

  • Acoustically transparent hood for when you need a barrier between you and the world but you still need to mix.
  • Loop in the left pocket to clip your keys/flashlight/multi-tool/drum key on.
  • Internal headphone routing to the right pocket because I know you can't get enough tunes.
  • Secure pocket on the chest for your thumbdrive or iLok so you don't lose it at the bar.
  • Handy wiring diagrams screened on the interior so you only have to solder once.

If you're an engineer you just found your new uniform.

Nic Pope

Nic Pope is an audio engineer, educator, and coffee snob. He has no experience as a Hoodie Designer but has worked on stages across the country, lived in busses, been stranded in airports, spent the night at the studio, and been chased by knife-wielding maniacs all in the name of good sound.

When the job he’s married to gives him a hall pass, he likes to spend his time pursuing perfection in analog photography, home brewing, and flying airplanes.
