Pinstripe Trousers With Paisley Waistband

Boardroom Style, Bedroom Comfort

One of our very favorite things (besides burritos) is taking fantastic fabrics and using them in interesting new ways.

Like when we took superfine merino wool and transformed it into Executive Pinstripe Hoodies. Or when we knit the fleeces of Montana’s most notorious ovine outcasts into Black Sheep Sweaters for the black sheep of the family.

Now here's our latest curious combination of designs and materials: Pinstripe Dress Pant Sweatpants, the executive edition of our super-comfy originals.

At first glance, Pinstripe Dress Pant Sweatpants look like exquisite wool trousers. Which they are, except for the wool part. Now look closer; better yet, put on a pair.

We think you'll find them quite sophisticated — yet as slumped-on-the-couch comfy as your favorite pair of old sweats, thanks to the wonderfully soft blend of cotton and Tagger fleece.

In the office or on the road, rest assured that these trousers will make any day feel like Casual Friday. But no one will be the wiser.

Pinstripe Dress Pant Sweatpants: great for dressing up or dressing down. Or just lazing around.

Got this for my husband last October. They win major points as 'comfortable pants'. However, they don't even remotely pass as professional. They look kind of dumpy - even on the very first wearing, co-workers noticed and commented about his choice to wear sweats to work - and not in an approving manner. After following the instructions for washing & drying - they look even worse. If you are ok with looking like you rolled out of bed and begrudgingly put on pants to go to the office, these are for you. If you want to look even slightly better than 'totally unkempt' then look elsewhere - you won't be happy with these pants. Disappointed at the $$ spent on something that has basically become 'lazy around the house' pants.

Very much over sized and baggy. I ordered a 32x32, had to get them hemmed, and will get the waist and inner thighs brought in by a lot. Mind you I have thighs and glutes bigger than the average 5'10" male, and still there's much unwanted room in there. The belt loop placement on the back is fine, but the front is not ideal (too wide apart). These pants definitely don't fit like they do in the product description photos. These pants look too sloppy and baggy to wear in public without alterations. I wouldn't mind the cost of alterations if these pants were $30~$40, but the fact that I have to find a good taylor (which can be hard) and pay additional money for adjustments just doesn't seem right for pants that cost over $100.

How much did you end up having to alter from the production measurements?
