At last night’s 2015 Grammy Awards, singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams ditched the infamous hat for reflective wear. We couldn’t be happier seeing reflective wear possibly becoming the next big trend in the celebrity world, especially with its anti-paparazzi potential. Fortunately for those seeking this reflective clothing, our Flashback Collection has finally launched and is available for crowdfunding!
A few months ago, Chris Holmes (DJ, tech head, music producer, super connector) came up with a brilliant idea. After wearing reflective clothing to several performances, he noticed that the flash from cameras bounced off his clothing and obscured most everything else in the photos. This gave him an epiphany: perhaps this technology could help celebrities fend off the swarm of paparazzi by making paparazzi photos worthless. Thus the Flashback Collection was born: garments made from highly reflective material — perfect for anyone (regardless of your celebrity status) who doesn’t want his or her picture taken, for photobombers who really want to make a lasting impression, or if your name is Pharrell Williams.
Fun Facts about Chris Holmes: He has spent the greater part of the last four years DJing as the opening act for Sir Paul McCartney on his world tours. Also, Chris has DJed and produced Grammy parties for Phoenix, the Black Keys, Daft Punk, and Radiohead; movie premieres parties for Edgar Wright, Nick Cave, Jon Favreau; and an Oscar party for Spike Jonze/Annapurna.
He DJed and produced the Breaking Bad finale at Hollywood Forever. Chris works regularly with Vice, Adultswim, and Comedy Central. He DJs and produces the world famous Nightswim party with guest DJs Questlove, Thom Yorke, James Murphy, Young Guru, and Nigel Godrich. Chris also DJed Paul McCartney’s wedding.
