An interview with Alana Johnston, comedian, and Betabrand Model.
Tell us about yourself. Who are you? What about your career are you most proud of so far?
My hair is my everything.
When did you first know you were funny?
I first knew I was funny when I just decided I was. No approval necessary!
What does it mean to be a funny woman in your personal life? and in show business?
I don’t think of myself as a “funny woman,” I think of myself as a funny person. I don’t think gender should matter in comedy, funny is funny!
What is your greatest daily challenge? Reward?
Falling asleep. I’m always so turnt up about something!
What advice would you give to anyone seeking to find their own path – career, or otherwise?
Just keep going. I mean really, what else is there to do?
What are you passionate about outside of comedy? What do you do on your free time?
I love reading books about brave teens and watching TV shows about vampire teens. So I guess you could say I spend my free time as a 16 year old girl with minimal friends.
Tell us how you really feel about Rubber Chickens.
I don’t get them and I don’t care too.
