Model Citizen Spotlight: Terry L. | The Kentucky Patriot

The town of Murray, Kentucky was 17% more patriotic this Fourth of July, thanks to Model Citizen Terry L.  I asked him how his new USA Pants were received by the community:

I learned about Betabrand on Facebook on Sunday, June 28th.  My wife immediately ordered the USA Pants and requested 3 day delivery so that I would have them for the 4th of July.  (Thanks for your prompt shipping and wonderful packaging)

I am a 73 year old, retired, man who has been married for 45 years to the same wonderful woman.  (She buys me fancy pants and sharp shoes)  We live in Murray, KY,  the “Friendliest Small Town in America” (Not just our opinion but that of Rand McNally and USA Today)

We retired here 10 years ago and became a part of a wonderful community of welcoming people.  I try to pay back by being an unpaid, semi-official, all event photographer.  Freedom Fest weekend  is our biggest get together of the year and I take photos at the “Party on the Square”, the parade, “Family Fun in the Park”, Car Show and the Fireworks.  These are all supplied to the participants at no charge.   Judi marches in the parade in the Kazoo Band and helps with the crowds.  She also works all year on our local “Barn Quilt Trail”.

For me, “standing out” and “showing my patriotism” have always been important and  those pants were the frosting on the red, white and blue cake.  I received compliments and comments all weekend and was asked “Where did you get those pants?” about a hundred times.  I imagine that next 4th I won’t be the only one at Freedom Fest with those wonderful trousers.

Thanks to you and your great group,

Terry
