Think Tank Team Attends San Francisco Student Fashion Shows

On May 1st, we attended San Francisco State University’s Runway 2014: PROVOKE, where we discovered tons of local talented designers. Pictured here is a look from Eric Powers’ Collection:

On May 8th, we attended the Academy of Art’s Spring Fashion Show – not only to scout out new designers, but to cheer on our very own Betabrand’s Womenswear Designer – Tony Wloch!! Congratulations Tony!

Tony’s collection was inspired by 1930’s men’s workwear and modern activewear. This jumpsuit was an audience favorite, and features patchwork created from recycled jeans:

Annie Abbey also used recycled garments for her collection, which delivered an earthy and boho take on luxury:

Jenny Hien Hoang used engineered shibori dyed denim to create this amazing architectural and futuristic dress.

On May 16th, we attended the California College of the Arts Senior Fashion Show.

The biggest audience pleaser was the children’s collection, which featured a stuffed creatures to mimic the designs on the clothing. Absolutely adorbs.
