Last week, we had a ton of fun at our Fashion Design Pitch Challenge in collaboration with the SF Fashion Lab. Held at our very own Betabrand HQ, we invited six talented designers to present their Betabrand-inspired product concepts to the audience. The designers and concepts included:
Katie Campbell – The Campbell Commuter Coat
Jeff Pacis – The Forager Jacket
Payam Imani – The Adventure Suit Collection
Ronnie Esclante – The San Francisco Pullover
Sam Shan – The Blossom Collection
Each designer had five minutes to present their ideas, followed by another five minute Q&A with a panel of judges comprised of three Betabrand employees.
In the end, Payam Imani came out on top with his incredible “Adventure Suit” collection! He won the cash prize of $200, and a meeting with the Betabrand Think Tank team to get his designs up on our Think Tank.
In fact, we were so impressed with the designs from all of the designers that we decided to put each of their designs up on the Think Tank as well.
In addition to the challenge, The SF Fashion Lab pulled members from the audience for an improvised runway show of Betabrand products… along with hilariously commentary by a member of the Betabrand Retail staff!
All in all, we had a splendid time, filled with “Oohs, Aahs, and LoLs.”

Also, be sure to join our Meetup page in order to receive invitations to future events hosted by the Betabrand Think Tank!
