The Think Tank: At Long Last, Fashion Crowdfunding

What is the Think Tank?

I’m so glad you asked. The Think Tank is a relatively new addition to Betabrand, geared towards crowdsourcing and crowdfunding clothing ideas. It’s growing and changing all the time, thanks to input from folks like you!

Think Tank is the first open-source-design platform dedicated to fashion. The community sends us their brilliant ideas and we put them up for the world to see. People vote for concepts they love, and chime in with comments and questions. Popular concepts move into crowdfunding, and have the chance to become a part of Betabrand’s line for sale.

Betabrand's Think Tank is designed to crowdsource and crowdfund clothing ideas

With the Think Tank, designers have a chance to communicate directly with the very people they’re trying to reach without having to invest a dime setting up a website, creating a prototype, or sourcing manufacturing resources.

We take on all the risk of developing new ideas, and pass on generous commissions to designers who have successfully funded campaigns.
